Chinese Students Achieved Great Triumphs in Russian Scientific and Social Programme “Step into the Future”

18 March 2019-22 March 2019, “Step into the Future” Programme was launched at Bauman Moscow State Technical University. At the invitation of organizer, Children and Youth Science Center of CAST sent 4 students to take part in the event. They are Chen Danye from High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Yang Yining from Beijing No.171 High School, Lu Guanyu from Suzhou High School of Jiangsu Province and Lu Yimeng from High School Affiliated to Fudan University. Chen Danye got Best Project of Preclinical Medicine with her project studies on the synthesis of new chlorophyll derivative and its anti-tumor activity in photodynamic therapy. The Lu Guanyu got Best Wave Research award with his project research on influencing factors in sound velocity in air based on the Doppler Effect. Both Lu Yimeng and Yang Yining achieved second awards with their projects preliminary study on the response of several polyacrylate to different solvents and an experimental solution to overcome the blind areas of sensors for revolving automatic doors.

Over native 50 projects and 6 projects from China and Republic of Korea were exposed on this Forum. Students explained their projects to publics and received at least 7 judges’ questioning among 3 days’ period. There is science session for students.

The Forum starting from 1993, is a vital part of Russian Scientific and Social Programme “Step into the Future” aiming at cultivating future Russian science talents. Winners would be allowed to access many international science contest such as China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC), European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS) and Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF).
